Sometimes, you just don’t feel like doing something.
You think that missing it, just this once, won’t really make much difference in the grand scheme of things.
But the thing is, that one thing missed becomes two things; then three. Suddenly, it’s okay to miss something just once, because it’s only just once.
The problem with that, though, is that skipping out on the things you should be doing becomes a habit.
And so that’s why this blog post is reaching you so late in the day.
This morning I woke up underwater. Or at least, it felt like that; I had sloshing in my ears, a sore throat, and everything sounded tinny and underwatery. I woke late. I used it as an excuse not to write today’s blog post, because I had to go climbing.
Well, I didn’t have to go climbing; but it was Sunday morning, and Sunday is climbing day. And I’m glad I went, because I climbed pretty well considering I feel like shite. Even missed out on a pint at the pub afterwards.
Was thinking, well, it’s late now, might as well not write today’s blog post… but that way lies a slippery slope of not doing the stuff you should be doing.
Remember this, next time you know you should be doing something, but tell yourself a story to justify not doing it.
Then do it anyway.
What made me write this email anyway? The nagging feeling of guilt, and this collection of grafitti, which I thought you’d enjoy as much as I did.
So have a gander at it, and enjoy.
Then give some thought to reading my book, Business For Superheroes.

In fact, she wrote the book on it. Get your copy here.
