What can you learn from a giant dong?

Hurrah! It’s Saturday!

Which means it’s time for a giant penis.

Want to get your message across? You need to stand out from all the forgettable marketing out there.

I present: the massive dong advert. Honestly, go and have a look. It’s kind of safe for work, in that there’s nothing nefarious or rude about it. In fact, the worst part about it is the slightly unsettling, perfectly round “veg” that precede the “meat” in a jiggling, joggling, nightmaresque manner.

And the message?

It’s very worthy, because apparently the message about STDs has lost its power over the years. Especially among the older generation, apparently. I read an article a while ago about how syphilis is on the increase in the UK – which is pretty grim. Have you ever seen what syphilis can do to a body? It’s horrifying.

Anyway, anything that gets the message out there is a good thing, and this particular message ain’t gonna get lost or forgotten in a hurry.

Go and stock up on condoms. Buy a big pile of them for your kids (and maybe your parents!) and sprinkle them around the place.

And show everyone this advert, if for no other reason than to laugh at the look of horrified fascination on their faces.

If you want to get people’s attention in an information-crazy world, you don’t have to wear a giant penis outfit, but it sure does help. If it’s on-message, of course.
