“I sometimes wonder if you’re hiding in my kitchen listening to me!”

I got quite a few replies to yesterday’s blog post about how we talk to ourselves. You know, how we’d never say such awful things to the people we loved, but we’ll say them to ourselves all the time.

Start from a place of confidence and happiness, it will make it easier to grow.

In amongst them was this, from Lou:

“Morning Vicky,

I sometimes wonder if you’re hiding in my kitchen listening to me!

You ROCK Vicky Fraser.

Thank you.

Lou.”

I promise I’m not hiding in anyone’s kitchen; but I do know that actually, we’re all pretty similar. We feel similar stuff, we experience similar things, as business owners and as human beings.

We’re all walking our own journey and they’re all different, but what we experience is universal.

We’re not kind enough to ourselves, and we don’t talk about it enough.

There’s that word again: enough.

Never enough time, never enough money, never pretty enough, never thin enough, never strong enough, never clever enough, never enough.

Well, enough!

Going through life with this kind of scarcity is no way to live at all. Don’t you think? I believe that until you’re happy within yourself and grateful for what you already have, you find it very difficult to achieve more.

Being happy and grateful now doesn’t mean settling for less than you want to achieve; not at all.

It simply means starting from a place of confidence and abundance – and growing from there. It’s a much healthier patch of ground to grow in, believe me.

Let’s make a start today, now. If you want to grow your business, I can show you how.

If you’re ready and willing to put in the hard work and do things that may sometimes feel uncomfortable – particularly when they’re not what most other business owners are doing – you should grab a copy of my book, Business For Superheroes . Then take what you learn and put it into action.

Here’s what Beth thinks of my book:

An awesome book . Vicky speaks from the heart and this book is packed with actionable business information. I love Vickys mails too they are first class I woul recommend any small business owner (who wants to grow) reads this book

Vicky Fraser is a copywriter, author, and entrepreneur. She really did run away with the circus… but when she’s not swinging from a trapeze, she’s showing other copywriters and small business owners how to work with better clients, make more money, and stop missing bathtimes, first words, and dinners with angry partners. In fact, she wrote the book on it. Get your copy here.
