What if I have something to declare?

Here’s a question: have you ever seen any actual customs agents at customs? I don’t remember the last time I saw any when I walked through.

It’s helpful to find a support group to keep you accountable.

It occurred to me the other night when I arrived at Cork International Airport. And when we returned from Kalymnos. I’m never sure which section to walk through, but then it never matters because the area is deserted.

I mean, what if I had something to declare? Whom do I declare it to?

Those were the questions on my mind the other morning in Cork. Which is where the mastermind group I’m part of meets every three months.

During which, I was sat in a hotseat declaring my goals and challenges for the next three months and having my business pulled apart by my fellow group members.

Which is pretty nerve-racking, let me tell you. Especially when you’ve had a few setbacks recently and you’re not sure how to proceed.

But that’s what I was there for!

I shared my three-month goals with my membership group the other week – my Inner Circle. Every Friday, I encourage everyone to share their achievements for the week, their goals for next week, and any challenges we’re facing. Then the group can put their brains to work coming up with answers.

And, of course, high-fiving each other for their achievements over the week – because that’s important. Too often, we focus on what we have still to do (which is important of course) – but we forget to look at how far we’ve come.

The support of a group of likeminded business owners is invaluable – I know this because I am part of a mastermind group that’s well worth the (hefty) investment each month.

And my Inner Circle Members know this too – as Rob, one of my Members, said:

“What you get in Vicky’s group is access to a group of people who deeply care about you and your business success. It’s a non-threatening group where you’ll be (politely) held accountable to doing the things you say you’ll do. There isn’t anyone here trying to ‘crush it’, ‘10X it’, or ‘hustle for the win’. It’s an introspective group where people will ask WHY you want what you want.

“Since joining the group I’ve written a book, and I’m well on the way to fixing the gaping holes that exist in my marketing funnel.

“The other thing you get from the group is support. I view the Inner Circle as an insurance policy against my next stupid business idea. Vicky is on hand to critique anything you send her, and you get fast, considered feedback from other members.”

Not quite ready to jump into the Inner Circle? Why not Borrow My Brain for half an hour over Skype? You can ask me anything you like and we’ll have a good old chat, and create an action plan for you to follow at the end of it. Good eh? Borrow My Brain, here.
