Don’t panic!

Just a quickie today (oo-er). One of my Inner Circle Members, Dom, is doing something scary but amazing: he’s launching a new product.

Launching a new product is scary, be brave.

Why scary? Because he really doesn’t know if it’ll work, or not. None of us do. Why amazing? Because if he doesn’t try, he’ll never know – and that’s brave. Believe me: if you’ve never launched a new product before, it’s brave.

You’re putting your whole heart and soul out there in hopes somebody, somewhere (and preferably a lot of somebodies) will grab it with both hands and say yes yes YES gimme!

So it hurts if people don’t.

I think Dom’s gonna do just fine.

But here’s the little secret I wanted to share with you: he’s got the “colly wobbles” as he put it (my dad used to say that!) because sales are slow. Well, they’re gonna be slow. It’s the nature of humans: we leave stuff until the last possible minute.

When I launched my Write & Publish Your Book in Just 90 Days course, I had a panic too. I’d put so much effort into creating this course, WHY WASN’T ANYBODY BUYING IT?

Then, in the last 4 hours before the deadline, more than £6,000 of sales came in.

That’s the way product launches roll, homie.

Today’s tip? Build urgency into your offering, or there’s no reason for anybody to respond right now.

PS Here’s another quick and handy tip. Take a look at  your website and marketing materials. Then take a look at your “competitors”.

Do you really stand out as different enough for somebody to jump up and down with excitement and declare, “This is the one for me! This one, and nobody else!”
