You probably know by now that I’m a big fan of creativity. Ideas. Not the kind of creativity where you waft around in a chiffon dress, gazing blankly up at the sky, waiting for inspiration to strike like a projectile apple.
That type of inspiration is largely mythical.
No, I’m talking about the kind of creativity where you’re always on the lookout for something interesting, something different – a new angle on an old idea.
That’s where creativity really comes from.
Which is why I love this idea so very much.
A milk vending machine at the farm gates! Okay, so it’s for rural communities… but it’s a start. It puts farmers back in control of their profits, which means they’ll make more money – which means they’re able to invest more in caring for their animals and their farms.
Plus, of course, it’s more environmentally friendly because it’s going back to the old days of reusable glass milk bottles.
The best way for the cows themselves, of course, is to go vegan – but most people aren’t going to do that. Myself included. Failing that, you can get your own cows or goats. Again, tricky for most people. Or, you can choose to shop as ethically as you can.
Organic milk is better than normal – the cows are treated better – for example.
I live surrounded by farms. I’m gonna talk to the farmers and see if any of them fancy adopting this idea – I’d be all over it.
This is the kind of creativity I love: a small thing in an imperfect world, that makes the world just a little bit better.
Vicky Fraser is a copywriter, author, and entrepreneur. She really did run away with the circus… but when she’s not swinging from a trapeze, she’s showing other copywriters and small business owners how to work with better clients, make more money, and stop missing bathtimes, first words, and dinners with angry partners. In fact, she wrote the book on it. Get your copy here.
PS This type of creativity is what really gets my brain firing. My brain comes up with all kinds of cool and profitable and eminently doable stuff – and now you can borrow it, for 30 minutes on Skype. Book a session – and if I think I can’t help you, or you don’t think the session is worth at least 10 times your investment, I’ll refund every penny.
