Have you seen Dexter? The TV show about the serial killer who only kills bad guys?
When he does the deed, he sets up his “kill room”. Covers everything in sheets of plastic, then cuts up the bodies and wraps them up and dumps them out to sea. Not very environmentally friendly, to be honest.
Anyway, I’m telling you this because my living room currently looks like Dexter’s kill room (only without the blood).
The plasterers are here again, and they’ve put up plastic sheeting in the living room to create a corridor so they can take everything upstairs without creating too much mess and without letting the house get too cold.
Only now it looks like a serial killer’s playground. And I’m writing this from my beanbag next to the Rayburn because it’s bloody freezing.
It’s all very exciting, though, because it means we’re making progress on the attic.
But that’s not why I’m writing to you today.
Today, I have a very cool video to share with you, which I discovered when someone in my cartooning course shared it with me.
If you write stories – and you should do, if you want to market yourself effectively – you need to watch the video and then read this.
Vicky Fraser is a copywriter, author, and entrepreneur. She really did run away with the circus… but when she’s not swinging from a trapeze, she’s showing other copywriters and small business owners how to work with better clients, make more money, and stop missing bathtimes, first words, and dinners with angry partners. In fact, she wrote the book on it. Get your copy here.
