“Take that frown and turn it upside down!”
Said with manic Stepford-Wives glassy smile and empty eyes.
Just another meaningless platitude from people who can’t cope with the real world.
Well, here’s my antidote to that: keep your frown and use it to power yourself to success.
In a world filled with fake positivity and people telling you to “just think positive and all you want will manifest itself”, let me be your truth bomb.
I give you permission — nay, encouragement — to occasionally be a miserable bastard. Because anyone who’s positive and bouncy all the time is either on drugs or insane.
And I further give you permission to use that negativity as an energy source to Get Shit Done.
Like Dean, one of my email subscribers, who emailed me the other day and told me why he’s doing what he’s doing:
“It’s a mixture of proving the people wrong who think I can’t do something – or think something can’t be done — and to support my family financially as I now have a young son.”
Two damn good reasons to make his business work.
That kind of bloody-mindedness is powerful. Use it.
If someone tells you that you can’t do it, or you shouldn’t do it, or you should just give up and get a job — smile nicely, give ’em the finger, and get on with it. Make some noise.
Prove them wrong.
Come and make some noise with me:

She really did run away with the circus… but when she’s not swinging from a trapeze, she’s showing other copywriters and small business owners how to work with better clients, make more money, and stop missing bathtimes, first words, and dinners with angry partners. In fact, she wrote the book on it. Get your copy here.
